Ahmedabad-Mumbai main line is the important railway route on Western Railway section of Indian Railways. It is one of the busiest railway route of the Indian Railways. It is fully electrified route in today's date. The Ahmedabad-Mumbai corridor involves some major industrial cities such as Vadodara, Surat, Ankleshwar, Vapi, etc. The people often commute daily and regularly between these industrial clusters for business and work. This makes the Ahmedabad-Mumbai line most productive and a railway line that will be most beneficial for the people and Mumbai to Ahmedabad is a major industrial belt with Surat and Vadodara route.
